Having your eyes checked out by an optician every couple of years can take a chunk out of your finances. It’s even worse for those who are barely just about scraping by as it is. However, what if you could get this done for free?
How do I apply for this M&S Opticians promotion?
If you are in possession of a voucher, you are entitled to a free eye test with M&S Opticians. In order to claim this promotion, you will need to fill out a brief application form online. The form asks for your:
- full name
- post code
- email address
Your coupon code will be emailed to you. This will happen after your application has gone through and been approved. You can either print out the voucher or just show a member of staff the email you received.
Eligibility

How long will this offer last for?
This deal will remain valid until next month, specifically ending on the 16th of February. In addition, you will need to book and attend your eye appointment before this date if you still want to be eligible.
What are the benefits of this deal?
You won’t just be getting a free eye test. This particular chain of opticians will throw in a free optical coherence tomography scan (or OCT scan for short). One will also receive a 15% discount off glasses with Marks & Spencer.
Apparently, this promotion also works for contact lens users. Nevertheless, you will need to check the full terms and conditions in order to be absolutely sure.
Are there any negatives to visiting M&S Opticians?
When compared to other opticians, there is one glaring downside. This is the fact that there are only a few M&S branches peppered across the nation. I believe there are only one or two participating M&S opticians in the whole of Scotland, for example.
For this reason, you might have problems finding one that is local to you and convenient to get to. Even then, the nearest branch might not be worth visiting. You have to consider the time and travel expenses required to get there.
It’s hard to beat this offer in terms of value for money. This is especially relevant when you consider the extortionate prices that some rival opticians charge for spectacles and eye tests. You don’t normally utter Marks & Spencers in the same breath as Specsavers or Vision Express.
