I can imagine that it would be extremely hard to know what to do with your life after leaving the military. Veterans often come home from overseas without much in the way of purpose.
Personally, I have never served in the army myself. However, I can recognize that it might be tough to make a departure from such a regimented way of life.
Although, there are still lots of opportunities out there for former servicemen and women. This is especially true for the more business-minded veterans who want to carve a new path in their careers.
What is the guest article about?
Back in 2022, I received an email from a lady called Julie requesting a guest blogging submission. The topic idea she put forward was in regard to the types of businesses specifically tailored toward military veterans.
I was intrigued and accepted the proposition. People have written plenty about pretty much every facet of business (especially online). However, I liked how Julie focused on potential entrepreneurs within the armed forces.
This is certainly an angle I didn’t even think of covering on the website beforehand. I admit that this is mainly because I have so little experience within that world.
Additionally, she showed the importance of competitor research and performing an honest evaluation of oneself. Julie elaborated further on not just business operations, but also how you might promote and market your own brand.
Furthermore, she spoke about the prospect of gaining new skills as well as polishing the ones you already have. In her post, she also examined other aspects of entrepreneurship such as:
- accounting
- funding
- how to go about crafting a business plan
Running a business isn’t for everyone. If you want an easier earner via the internet then I would suggest checking out the many reward websites available.
One of the best platforms around for this is SwagBucks as you can make money performing very simple online tasks. You may even get a welcome bonus just for signing up.
Who is Julie Morris?
Julie describes herself as someone who enjoys helping people fulfill their full potential. She also delves into her own history and background explaining how she used to work in the finance sector. Julie has had success in this arena but states that this wasn’t exactly her true calling.
Her hobbies include doing activities outside and reading in her spare time. In fact, she loves books so much that she is currently in the process of writing a publication of her very own at the moment.
What is her website about?
The website (aptly named after the guest contributor in question) offers both life and career coaching services. Having looked through the site, I already feel inspired to improve my own life.
Her articles aren’t just about business. She also has posts published in regard to:
- health
- tax
- creativity
Will you be working with Julie Morris again?
In our emails, we corresponded over a few weeks. After I informed her of the guest post going live, she got back to me with nothing but the utmost positivity.
Julie even offered to write another guest article for me with the same arrangement as before. She asked me to brainstorm any topic ideas that I thought might be good.
I suggested that she write a piece about productivity in the workplace. It felt fitting seeing as our site doesn’t have a lot of content on that subject. Julie concurred with this concept and stated that she would get back to me once she has finished writing it.
If you’re interested, you can read the guest post written by Julie Morris here. I recommend browsing her website too.
