Want to keep the kids entertained this Spring? At the same time, why not find something interesting for yourself in the process? There are currently offers on National Trust membership that should fit the bill.
Hopefully, it will keep you and your loved ones satisfied. Right now, they are offering families a free day out that everyone can enjoy. Take in all the natural and historical beauty that this great country has to offer.
How to Claim Free National Trust Tickets
At the moment, you can bag yourself a free family day pass. This is valid for most of the sites across the nation.
Claimants may need to create an account on the website that they are claiming from. This will likely involve submitting your email address and a few other personal details. It can seem like an invasion of privacy for some as well as being a bit of a chore.
Depending on how you apply, you may need a National Trust discount code for this deal. Applicants can use this one (ReachPLCFreeAccess).
How do I apply for a free National Trust family pass?
You can redeem this either with a physical or digital National Trust voucher code. Either method is fine. If you are claiming an evoucher then you should be sent straight to your inbox via email.
One needs to be able to adequately present their voucher to a member of staff. This should be done once you have arrived at the site.
There are said to be less than 200,000 passes left. Scarcity is high so you will need to be quick before they run out altogether.
How much is National Trust membership?
Typically, a family pass would cost you £26. You really are getting a bargain by claiming one of these for free. Bear in mind that your visit probably won’t be absolutely free.
Certain sites will charge motorists for parking, for example. Instead of a car park, drivers may be able to get around this by finding some other free parking solutions relatively nearby.
You have to appreciate that some of these sites may have additional facilities. This can be things like the National Trust cafe and also the National Trust gift shop (which both obviously cost money to use).
Cashback websites like topcashback aren’t solely just for buying products. The app can also help you save money on days out like the one we’re talking about right now. Give them a try if you haven’t already.
Participating Websites
Previously, you would have had to buy a newspaper in order to claim this offer. I believe you can still do this for certain publications if you like.
However, you can now do it for free on the internet. All this without any financial investment. One can sign up for this discount at a number of different websites including:
When can I redeem my National Trust membership discount?
Be sure to check the opening hours of the specific site that you are planning to visit. These tend to vary depending on where you are. Sadly, there are certain dates that are exempt from this deal. These are:
- May 27th
- May 28th
- May 29th
You can use the family pass 7 days a week. It is quite flexible in that respect. This freebie will continue throughout all of Spring. It will even carry on into the Summer (until the 30th of June).
Can I gain free entry to the best National Trust places multiple times?
You can only use the family pass once. If you want to visit a site again then I recommend trying to reapply. Try to reclaim this offer if possible.
I’m not exactly sure what the rules are for multiple claims. For this reason, you will need to check out the website for more details.
Eligibility for Free National Trust Membership
Only one family pass can be applied for per household. If you are employed by the National Trust or Reach PLC then you will be excluded from this deal. The same goes for anyone directly related to someone who is.
I understand that this can be seen as a conflict of interest so it makes sense. It would be smart to check the full terms and conditions of this offer beforehand.
How many people in my group can I visit with?
The family pass allows a total of 5 individuals to participate. This can be achieved in different variations. For instance, it might be a group of 1 parent and 4 children or 2 parents and 3 kids. In this case, the “parents” can be either guardians or responsible adults.
What is the age range for this deal?
Any adult attending will need to be at least 18 years old. Your children have to be between the ages of 5 and 17 if you want this to work.
If you have a child under the age of 5 then they will already get free admission with or without this offer. Apparently, there are also special deals if you are over 60.
UK National Trust Locations
People will obviously want to know where their nearest National Trust is so they can take advantage. Maybe you are looking for National Trust gardens near London? This offer is applicable to residents of:
- England
- Wales
- Northern Ireland
It looks as though anyone who lives in either Scotland or ROI (Republic of Ireland) is not eligible. If you are traveling from afar and staying overnight then you will need some National Trust accommodation. You should be able to find somewhere affordable nearby (perhaps holiday cottages and other rentals).
Which National Trust historic sites are taking part?
Is there a National Trust near me? In total, there are over 500 sites up and down the country. You should be able to find a map of National Trust properties online. These include:
- gardens
- castles
- parks
- stately homes
- estates
- many other interesting structures
Many of these National Trust days out are dog friendly just in case you were wondering. You may even be fortunate enough to take part in one of the many National Trust tours. This includes Xmas events at National Trust properties.
However, there are certain sites that are not participating in this deal. You can find a list of National Trust properties that are excluded from this promotion right here. Furthermore, one can find more information on these sites by downloading the National Trust app.
What is the appeal of this offer?
What is the National Trust? On top of nature conservation, many of these beautiful sites allow you to explore both indoors and outdoors.
One can take part at a variety of different venues. There is so much history behind a lot of these National Trust sites.
This means that it can also be very educational. You can learn a lot from just being there. There may even be National Trust events happening on the day of your visit.
How do I contact the National Trust UK?
You can always renew National Trust membership after this deal ends. If you require any more support or simply want to ask a question then you can fire off an email. Send your query to [email protected].
You can additionally visit the National Trust website for more options to get in touch (like the National Trust hotline).
This seems like an ideal offer seeing as the weather is starting to brighten up as we approach Summer. It will be nice for households to get away from it all and enjoy the great outdoors.
City dwellers should find the National Trust visitor pass particularly beneficial. This is mainly because of the lack of green spaces in urban areas.
Some fresh air and natural splendor can do the world of good for pretty much anyone. Although, vouchers are running out fast. You will need to pull your socks up.
I suggest the next item on your agenda should be to research your local area. This way you can see which National Trust sites are nearest to you. Clearly, these will be easier and more convenient to reach.
If this interests you then maybe get a National Trust card and become a full member in the future. There are plenty of choices including lifetime and yearly membership. You can always cancel your National Trust memberships if you find that it’s not your cup of tea.
Family days out such as this obviously cost money. However, using rewards platforms like SwagBucks will allow you to both earn and save money so that you can take part in more events like this.
There are more ways you can save money on National Trust days out. In addition, I’m sure there will be further upcoming special offers in the future. See what cashbackcollette and thecouponqueen have to say for more details on this.
Do you agree that the National Trust benefits families? When was the last time you visited a National Trust site and why did you initially want to go?
