Do you need a decent headset for your online work and maybe other stuff too? Well, I’ve got a cheap and cheerful product here for you that will definitely hit the spot.

I personally bought this wired headset when I first began testing websites and apps. You can also use it for other functions such as transcription and music reviewing. Perhaps you can use it for some fun online gaming like me in your downtime as well.

Let’s take a look at some of the finer details in my review. I will run down the pros and cons of this piece of equipment.

Why should I buy this headset?

Where can I get a cheap headset? You’re in the right place, friend. I’ve owned this headset for a while now and haven’t experienced any major problems with it, whatsoever.

Also, the microphone and sound quality are good for the price that you are paying. You are getting great value for money.

Not to mention, a bold red and black design too. It has this nice, neutral color scheme that should appeal to all genders and demographics. I may be a little biased as a dude, but it certainly beats hot pink combined with my little pony detailing.

You always have the option of not using the microphone component at all. It’s a great piece of equipment just for listening to music as headphones if that’s what you’re looking for.

How much does this headset cost to buy?

This is a surprisingly good headset as a matter of act considering that I paid under £10 for it on Amazon (at the time of writing). The total price also includes packaging and delivery. You get a lot of bang for your buck.

How long will delivery take?

I found the delivery time to be quite lengthy considering that the item is being sent from overseas. Although, I didn’t mind this as it arrived in perfect condition within the expected time. The packaging was sturdy and adequate enough too.

Are there any disadvantages to this headset?

There are really only two minor things I don’t like about this headset. The first is how sweaty your ears can get after wearing this product for a long period of time.

To be fair, this is probably true for a lot of headsets and headphones so maybe I’m being a little harsh. However, other higher quality products may consist of more breathable materials which may lessen this problem.

The last bone of contention I can think of is the bright green light on the control panel. You may be wondering if I have lost my little mind so allow me to explain. There is a green light that appears and stays on whenever you have the headset plugged in.

This isn’t really a massive drawback during the day time. Although, for me personally it can be very noticeable and irritating for night-time use. This is mainly down to the lack of any natural light around.

This is really just a nitpick on my part but it can stick out like a sore thumb. It can be quite bothersome at times when you are trying to focus your eyes on what you’re trying to do.

I have found myself covering the light up with my shirt in order to soften the distraction. This seems to work quite well. You could also try placing some tape over the light if it means that much to you.

What the functions of this headset?

This is a plug and play headset. Therefore, you can pretty much start using it right away after you plug it into the USB port of your electronic device. You won’t have to deal with the fuss of downloading anything either.

It also comes with a handy control panel with buttons on top of this for greater accessibility, as previously mentioned. Moreover, this allows you to mute both the microphone and ear pieces independently. You can also change the volume easily.

Is this headset adjustable?

You can adjust the whole thing in a couple of different ways. You can change the length and angle of the ear pieces. The positioning of the microphone is also flexible.

This is convenient if several people of different head sizes want to use it. You may have a friend with a giant boulder shaped head, but then again, I’m not here to judge.

In brief, this is a great first-time headset for someone who is on a budget. It’s also good for anyone who loves a bargain, like myself. That just about sums up my thoughts.

We can learn that most of the time we don’t have to throw lots of money against the wall. You can spend a little and still get a quality product. This is especially true with his headset.

Ultimately, it’s a low price headset that covers all the bases. Nothing more, nothing less.
